Meet our Mini Highland cow, LuEllen!
Little Hooves Homestead welcomed LuEllen in April of 2024. The moment we laid eyes on this little fluffy heifer, we fell in love. We had no idea how much personality this girl was going to have and how quickly we would learn why these cuties are called “grass puppies.” LuEllen spends most of her time with the boy goats and the mini donkeys, but always seems confused why she moos and they do not. She has wild Tina Turner hair that needs routine maintenance and she loves chinny rubs. We can’t wait to see how big her horns get, how her personality develops and the shenanigans she’ll get herself into!
Meet our Highland cow, Chunk!
Chunk was born in March 2025 and lives up to his name, every, single, day! He is extremely food motivated and just the cutest little Dun colored steer we’ve ever seen. He joined Little Hooves Homestead in January 2026. He loves to lick your pants, enjoys horn scratches, and is getting to know the barnyard crew. He’s still not sure about the fainting goats and why they just suddenly fall over, and has an odd curiosity with the barn cats, but we just love him.
